Diving Into Winter Break
All the schools in Cherokee County School District are empty this week. Students are happy! Teachers are ready for a break. How we love our school calendar because we get a week off about every 6 weeks!!! Everyday this week, we have tried to do something fun (with a coupon). Yesterday we drove down to Powder Springs and spent the day with our dear friends, The Corbridges. My sweet friend, Malian, had lunch ready for us when we arrived and the kids were happy to have cable tv to catch up on Sponge Bob. In the afternoon, I took the kids to the West Cobb Aquatic Center. We had watched this facility be built
years ago when we lived near by. Now Cherokee County has figured out the great school calendar, they need to move on to building better Parks and Recreation places!! (Me on my soap box). Anyways, Scott has looked forward to this adventure all week. He loves the high dive!!!
It took awhile for him to build his courage to go on it, but after some good self-talk, he was up there and jumped off about ten times. Andrew decided before we left to finally try the big jump and he liked it! Kiley and Juliana had a great time playing dolphins! I was appointed to the job of dolphin trainer and then we came up with signals for me to give them so they would know what trick to perform. Like any good dolphin, they expected their treat when they had successfully completed their task. After our swimming adventure, we took Juliana back home and stayed for a yummy dinner! Oh how I miss living by them and being able to see them more often!
