Labor Day Weekend
Payson celebrates Onion Days every year over Labor Day weekend. It's kind of a homecoming celebration for everyone there. This year we tried to plan some fun activities to have us all together because we didn't know then how much time my dad still had. On Sunday, we had a big dinner at Peteetneet across the street from us. The kids had a great time running around and we were able to visit with my dad for a bit. After that, we headed to my parent's house for a family prayer. My dad was in good spirits and joking with everyone. Monday was the big parade. The kids loved it! My mom was able to join us for a little of it. We then headed to Jim's house for a BBQ. Since it had been a long time since all of the siblings had been together, we decided to get some pictures. I'm so glad that we have them now! My dad was a good sport, but I can tell it was hard for him. This weekend is one I'll never forget and I don't think my children will either. We enjoyed some very special times with Grandpa and Grandma King.
