Lake Powell

We had a great adventure to the sunny Lake Powell! We were able to spend Mon-Thurs with some of my sisters, my brother, and cousins at the lake. Even though we had a great time and everybody returned home safely, we were still the bad luck of the group! We tried to get there early enough on Monday to meet up with everyone to have some time at the lake, but of course we arrived after the sunset. On Tuesday, the kids and I waited for Jeff to finish work at the hotel in Page, Arizona and then we went to the lake to meet the rest of my family and sure enough as soon as we were on the Jet skis heading towards the boat a lightning storm hit and we had to get out quickly! On Wednesday the kids and I went with everybody on the boat and had a great time squishing 26 people on the boat. I left our group to go get Jeff at the marina by Jet Ski and got lost, ran out of gas, and barelymade it back to the boat. I felt bad because Jeff missed this day on the boat! We tried to go to Rainbow Bridge for the kids to get their passports stamped, but the boat broke down. Luckily, Jim was able to fix the boat and we were able to get back to the dock. On Thursday we were ready to go on the boat at noon and it was just going to be my little family and my brother's family to enjoy the day of waterskiing and a trip to Rainbow Bridge, but my niece started to get sick (she has asthma really bad) and so we headed back. We ended up going to Glen Canyon Dam Visitor's Center and then headed home. I've been lucky to see many places around the country and I still think that Lake Powell is one of the most beautiful places!
