Good Morning Pancake Master!
Independence is a wonderful thing. I knew when I became a MOM that it was important to me to teach my children to be independent and able to think and do things for themselves. I do love to serve and care for them, but I also try to build their confidence in their own abilities and teach them life skills. Andrew decided that he didn't want to have to ask us to make him pancakes and syrup everyday. So he has stepped up to the breakfast plate and has asked to learn how to make pancakes and syrup.
I keep telling him that its my goal for my boys to be great cooks and so on their missions the Relief Society President will come to them for recipes :)

We're having a bit of a crisis right now since the stores are all out of Mapeline extract, so we're unable to make our delicious homemade syrup. Syrup out of a bottle is just not the same ;) Maybe we should pick up some Nutella to help us through this rough stretch until we get our hands on some more mapeline.
