When he was asked to be the Scoutmaster of our ward, I remember somebody saying that he now has a new part-time job. I have learned now over the past year that this is true. Merit Badge Clinics, the all famous Scout Camp, Campouts, Court of Honors, and Trail to Eagle are now constant vocabulary used at our home. Never have I seen somebody put hours EVERYDAY and put their heart and soul into volunteering to an organization that in hopes will:
Better the Community
Teach Leadership Skills
Provide Memories with two AMAZING sons!
Though this task is hard at times with so many boys and so many critics, what makes it all worth it is to see so many boys smile when they receive their merit badges. But, most importantly, when a blonde-haired boy comes home from a scouting adventure and with a smile on his face talks to me about his experience and constantly and proudly repeats the phrase "My Dad".
