Scott's 11th Birthday theme this year was "Backwards Party". We had so much fun with this theme! Jeff had this idea for the balloons. He was like MacGyver getting them to hang upside down!
We told the kids they could come wearing their clothes backwards. When they arrived, we gave them a nametag to write their names backwards to wear at the party.
We reversed the order of events for the party and ate upside down birthday cake first and then opened presents! Scott loved that!
The first game we played was the limbo, but instead of going under it, the boys jumped over it!
In the game musical chairs, the boys had to start walking when the music started they had to sit on the "chair pillow". The other twist to the game was that a boy wasn't out every round. Instead, we took a "pillow chair" out and at the end of the game, they all had to try and sit on the last pillow.
Towards the end of the party, we ate pizza and drank & 7 down. Jeff poked holes in the bottom of the 7-up cans and so they became 7-down drinks :)
After they ate, the boys played sardines (backwards hide-and-go-seek) and played their DS games together. It was so much fun! I think Scott enjoyed his Backwards Party!
