Kiley wanted to have a Paris-themed birthday party this year. Is she not my daughter or what? She requested to serve Nutella crepes and baguettes and so I set up the front rooms of our house like a French Cafe.
Flowers for the tables, napkins, Eiffel tower trinkets= we're ready for the guests to arrive!
Instead of a cake, we made cupcakes and put Eiffel Tower chocolate molds on top. It made it a lot easier to serve at the KC Cafe. We also served croissants, creme puffs and chocolate eclairs.
Kiley was fortunate to have many of her friends able to attend. I think there were 18 guests in all! She is a lucky girl to have so many wonderful friends!
Jeff magnified his duties as the crepe master! They were so yummy!
Bon Appetit!
Kathryn was excited to help sing Happy Birthday to Kiley.
After a wonderful dinner at the cafe, the girls were split into teams and sent on an "Amazing Paris Race." They had to complete activities like running up the 2 flights of stairs to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, draw a picture of a friend as if they were Mona Lisa, and find the Opera and sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star in their best French, Opera Voice. It went well and the girls were excited to participate!
Kiley scored in the present department!
At the end of the party, Kiley and a few of her other friends, taught all the girls how to finger knit scarves while watching the movie Madeline. It was fun to watch all the girls learn a new skill.
For part of the decorating for the cafe, I cut out some French-themed vinyl lettering on my Cricut. I like it so much and so I have kept them all up. Just like it still says above my door=
Au Revoir!
Cute! What a fun party!
