Honfleur

On our last Saturday in Dinan, we decided to take a little day trip to the Paris region. I added a stop to Honfleur on our itinerary, which is a little out of the way, but not far enough to really make a difference in the big picture.
I'd read about this picturesque port in different travel books and on some blogs. It is located in the Lower Normandy Region and was once a famous area for artists like Monet to paint.
After parking, we walked through the markets so Grandma King could look for some souvenirs to take back to Utah.
Outside of the market area, we finally were able to enjoy the beauty of the buildings and boats along the port.

We had a full day ahead and so we didn't stay longer and enjoyed any other parts of the town.

On our way back to the car, Kathryn stopped and made some friends with these cute little creatures.

Honfleur was worth the quick stop. We hope to return!
