The French Riviera- Grasse

Last weekend, we purchased tickets to ride the train to Grasse, which is the end of the line. We had first planned to just catch a bus from there to Valbonne and start working our way to Cannes. Once we stepped off the train, we noticed there was so much to see here that we ended up staying 3-4 hours exploring this beautiful city.
We first followed the signs to the Centre Ville. It wasn't too far away, but of course we took one wrong street and so it took just a bit longer to get there.
By missing the direct route, we were able to go down some cool streets like these ones:

Sorry for the overload of photos!

We stopped here so Kathryn could use a public restroom. It was kind of sad because the lady who went in before got a little stuck and wet in there. In some of the public restrooms in France, the toliettes do an automatic clean after somebody leaves (lights go off and door locks), but she went in before it fully closed after the previous user, and so I think she had a gross toliet shower in Grasse!
Our finds while exploring the city:

Just taking a break in the shade from the hot sun!

I love these water fountains!

We were so lucky to stumble across this free museum- Musee Fragonard.
It had an amazing collection of early color photographs.

This market had some great bargain bins!
Our kids love these yogurt drinks.
Kathryn wore this candy necklace all day and each time we caught her being a happy and nice traveler, she would get to eat one of the pieces of candy off of it.

Grasse is the perfume capital. We went through this free perfume museum.

Yay for fun parks in the shade! Kathryn and Scott always look forward to breaks from being tourists.
Next stop: Valbonne!
