While we were visiting Mt. Rushmore, we bought the kids National Park Passports. We've enjoyed visiting the beauty of the National parks and getting a stamp in each of the kid's passports. Our stay at Mt. Rushmore was brief, but the kids loved doing the Jr. Ranger Program. They were given a booklet of tasks to complete and they finished them all to get their Jr. Ranger badge.
We visited Yellowstone on Saturday. It was harder because it was a long drive between each part of the park. Jeff was loving every minute of it looking for wildlife as he was driving! The kids enjoyed a movie between each stop. It was fun in one area where the buffalo actually stopped the flow of traffic when they took over the road! We also saw some bears, elk, deer, wolves, and as we were leaving the park, we saw a bald eagle.
We're now in Utah and we're hoping to be able to visit some of the parks here.

Oh...I am SO jealous!! What a fun trip! Yellowstone is AWESOME...I can't wait to take my kids there one day. Enjoy the rest of your journey...and glad to see you've joined the blogging "groupies!" :)
