The Lights of Temple Square

One of the things I was most looking forward to on our trip to Utah was being able to visit Temple Square at night to see the beautiful Christmas Lights. This was a yearly tradition for me as a child and teenager that I always loved.

We parked near the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and so we were able to go through and see the great decorations here. On our way home, we stopped at the Legacy Theater and watched a great film about Joseph Smith.

It was very cold, but the kids were thrilled to have their cousins, Rhett and Halle, join us on this adventure. Cousins make everything fun. We were extra cold because we had stopped at Iceburg on the way there and had extra large milkshakes!

I had decided when I was younger and when visiting the lights at Temple Square that I wanted to be married there. I eventually did in August 1997.

We met Grandpa and Grandma King there.

We met some of my siblings there and my favorite Dwarf, Brianne took some fun pictures of all us.
