Before my mom left, we took her to visit Monaco one morning. As we were leaving, Jeff finally revealed his intentions for wanting to go to Monaco and that is so he could drive the course of the grand prix.
While we were there we noticed that they were starting to set everything up for the races and we saw a sign that they were going to be doing some races with the antique cars during a weekend in May.
Jeff was able to find us tickets for us all to attend!
There were a few parades of cars that drove around the course just for fun.
After the parades, we quickly ran to a grocery store to grab some snacks before the races started.
I was so excited to find some peanut butter! Unfortunately, this jar was about $25!
Can you believe this bag of candy was this much money?
We headed back to the venue and tried to find some seats that didn't have many smokers around so we could still enjoy the race.
It was so neat when the races started! We loved watching the cars go by in front of us and then we'd watch them continue on the course on a large tv screen that we could view easily from our seats.
Kathryn didn't like the noise too much and so somebody next to us kindly offered her some ear plugs. We didn't know what to expect and how long we would stay and so we weren't prepared. It was very loud!
The best part was when this car wrecked and we got to watch how quickly they removed it from the course.
I thought the boys would've enjoyed it more, but they didn't like the crowds too much. I think if they had just gone with their dad (boys only!)they would've liked it more because it was a little too much sensory overload for Kathryn and so she was a mess. Jeff and I loved it! We would go again in a heartbeat!
